Golden Retriever Club of Greater Toronto is for owners and breeders of Golden Retrievers who share the same interests in training and exhibiting their dogs and in the welfare and betterment of the breed. The GRCGT is an affiliate of the Golden Retriever Club of Canada (GRCC) and a member club of the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). Our sincere interest in the welfare and development of our breed has led to the establishment of a strong public education program since the Club was founded in 1986. The program includes training workshops and educational seminars for our members.
Members of the GRCGT were the founders of a rescue and adoption service for unwanted and displaced Golden Retrievers, known as The Canadian Golden Retriever Adoption Service.
Promoting Training, Education, and Breed Integrity
Through the efforts of our members, the GRCGT hosts a variety of CKC recognized events, including conformation shows, obedience trials, agility trials and working certificate and hunt tests, all of which demonstrate the talent and versatility of our breed.
GRCGT member breeders agree to abide by a Code of Ethics designed to ensure sound breeding practices and equitable puppy sales.
